In the last month, there's been a search for a 21 year old east Indian woman who disappeared after an argument with her boyfriend in his car. She's been seeing him for 8 months. The night she disappeared she sneaked out of her house in her P.J's at 4am (her strict parents didn't know about her boyfriend) to see her boyfriend who picked her up in his car. The argument in the car involved a love triangle. She insisted on getting out his car and walking to her sister's house 5 blocks away. On the way to the sister's place she made a frantic call at a gas station convenience store. They showed her talking on the phone (shot from a security camera) and she was crying and looked very worried. She never made it to her sister's and no one has seen her since (until a few days ago). A witness saw her walking over the bridge. I really thought that she was murdered. A few days ago, they discovered her dead body in the river and from the autopsy they announced that it was a suicide. She jumped from the bridge. What could be so terrible that she had to jump? I know that east Indian parents can be so strict and traditional that they would want their daughter to have an arranged marriage and maybe that's what was happening? It's so sad and suicide is so stupid. <<
